Powhatan Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic team. We are a locally owned private practice that has served the Powhatan community for over 25 years. Our clinic emphasizes patient-centered care, functional outcomes, and a supportive team environment.
This position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working closely with patients, values hands-on treatment, and thrives in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, manual therapy, and functional training
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and recovery expectations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure excellent patient care
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Virginia
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
